According to ESPN. com, the Phillies have acquired right-hander Joe Blanton from the Oakland A's.
In exchange, the Phillies will send minor leaguers Josh Outman (pitcher), Adrian Cardenas (second baseman) and Matthew Spencer (outfielder) to Oakland.
